There's A Summer Place Where It May Rain Or Storm, by: brendasue

Hi Everybody!
Welcome and come in for a Nature Break!  Today we will be talking about the Weather.  Above you will see this flower is blooming in my garden today. It came back from last year. I have forgotten what it is, so if you know either leave a comment or gmail me! Thanks.

Here we have a nice, sunny day----NOT!

Let The Class Begin!

Today for our photostudy, we are going to ride out of the woods to a clearing behind the trees where we can view the Big Sky. I call this place:  My Summer Place. Enjoy!

Welcome to the Country!  As you can see no tall buildings around here!

There is open, cleared land all around the house. You can see the clouds very well from here.

You can see it is a new house, vacant.  I love the way the red roof looks with the sky.

It is not my house, but I come here everyday and have never seen anyone else. Somebody built it out here in the middle of nowhere with a nice road going to it over a year ago. Nobody ever moved in.

I do not come here for the house anyway. I come for the 4 lakes that are here and the water birds.  This property backs up to the woods where I live.

This is what I came here for today:  Storm Clouds!  The treeline in the disatnce are the trees of rainbow creek. It is raining on my cabin!

Look at the clouds rolling in. Kates Cabin is about the center of photo back in the trees.

Looking the other way now, we can see that the rainclouds surround us, but not raining on us yet. (Us is me and the Little King!)

Time to Go as the rain is coming. It has been a very hot and dry August in 2010. We are happy for all the rain!

Last Spring, I photographed the last cold front as it two-stepped across Texas!   I put the photos on a little video here for you to enjoy.  This is to remiind you that cold air is coming!!!!!
