January 10, 2010 Discover Life at Kates Cabin on Rainbow Creek, A Bird Sanctuary in Waller County, Texas, USA, Earth

ICE Delivering a Crushing Blow to Kates Cabin on Rainbow Creek. Trees are giving in to the weight of the branches and crashing to the ground. Will the freezing tempetures ever release their icy grip?

Yet there is such Beauty in the Ice.

It Sparkles like Diamonds

It reveals strange shapes and forms

It has been delightful to photograph

I will miss this cold glass-like water

And this moment frozen in time

What beautiful Ice Gardens we had at Kates

In the hot sun they are melting

Just dripping away

Too soon they will be gone

Forever

Excuse me class, it seems we have some breaking news. How do I know?? Well, this little bird just told me so! It seems he has been flying all around the cabin and through the open air front porch. He has made some interesting discoveries he would like to share with you.

First of all, he notes, there is no ice anywhere else but by the fence!

There is no ice in the tall trees.

There is no ice on the porch.

There is no ice out this window.

Or this window.

There is no ice on the other side of the porch.

There is no ice on the see through roof.

And on top of this fence is a sprinkler

Here is a close up of the sprinkler. The truth about the blanket of ice has been uncovered:
Brendasue Watson is a Big, Fat, Liar! She made up the whole ice storm on Rainbow Creek. She made the ice with a sprinkler. It is all a big hoax. She was trying to get a reality bird show for the birds to raise money for their food.

Yeah, that Brendasue is a real Buzzard.
Say What, Lucy....Like your not a Buzzard?
I saw her do it. This is one big Lie

Billy just got home with the latest buzz from the police station. They are talking about arresting Brendasue for Lying to Everybody in the Whole World.

All she was trying to do was give a nice little nature class with pretty photos of the Nature of Rainbow Creek. Trying to raise awareness in the world of other species.
But she got carried away with this ICE SCANDAL.

The Whistle Ducks are flying away. They want no part of this scandal or a reality bird show.

Little King wants to say something: Please don't be mad at my Mom. She didn't mean to upset anybody or make them think we were really freezing to death. She's not really a big, fat liar, she is just a real good old fashioned Storyteller.

Well this concludes tonight's class. Hope you didn't have a dull moment!

This is Brendasue signing off from Rainbow Creek..................................I'll be seeing You!

January 8, 2010 Discover Life at Kates Cabin on Rainbow Creek, A Bird Sanctuary in Waller County, Texas, USA, Earth

Greetings to all Humans on Earth!
You have arrived at the page of Brendasue Watson. We are having a small Nature Class at the Bird Sanctuary on Rainbow Creek. As we discover life in the woods around Kates Cabin, the photos are being shared here as a short photostudy on both the use of a camera and the nature we are shooting. So come on in and have a look.

The American Goldfinch is another bird that arrives in January. Today we are experiencing frigid arctic air from the North Pole. Even in the cold, there are hundreds of goldfinches eating at the feeding stations.

Here are 2 butterflies touching each other. Insects have friends and communications we do not usually observe. Birds also have family & friends. I believe that love is experienced by other species, but that is just an opinion like everything else on this page.

BREAKING NEWS: Freak Ice Storm Covers Kates Cabin with a Blanket of Ice. Sorry class, we are going to have to breakaway from the planned photostudy for tonight. I must report this Ice Storm that just came out of nowhere and froze everything in the sanctuary. Rainbow Creek is frozen over. I have never seen anything like this in all my life here in Texas. Let me go get some pictures of this. I will be right back.

Here are the Photos. Look at this. It is unbelievable!

Oh No! Not BLUE Ice! What is Happening?
