January 8, 2010 Discover Life at Kates Cabin on Rainbow Creek, A Bird Sanctuary in Waller County, Texas, USA, Earth

Greetings to all Humans on Earth!
You have arrived at the page of Brendasue Watson. We are having a small Nature Class at the Bird Sanctuary on Rainbow Creek. As we discover life in the woods around Kates Cabin, the photos are being shared here as a short photostudy on both the use of a camera and the nature we are shooting. So come on in and have a look.

The American Goldfinch is another bird that arrives in January. Today we are experiencing frigid arctic air from the North Pole. Even in the cold, there are hundreds of goldfinches eating at the feeding stations.

Here are 2 butterflies touching each other. Insects have friends and communications we do not usually observe. Birds also have family & friends. I believe that love is experienced by other species, but that is just an opinion like everything else on this page.

BREAKING NEWS: Freak Ice Storm Covers Kates Cabin with a Blanket of Ice. Sorry class, we are going to have to breakaway from the planned photostudy for tonight. I must report this Ice Storm that just came out of nowhere and froze everything in the sanctuary. Rainbow Creek is frozen over. I have never seen anything like this in all my life here in Texas. Let me go get some pictures of this. I will be right back.

Here are the Photos. Look at this. It is unbelievable!

Oh No! Not BLUE Ice! What is Happening?

  1. These are fantastic. Since we never see anything like this - it is nice to see it captured on film.
