Summer Hummers of Last Summer                        by:  brendasue

And welcome to my mini Nature Class with Photography Tips and Ideas.  Greatest World Class Ever-No Teacher, No Tests, No Rules, No Grades, No Dress Code. Strictly Come as you are and stay if you want to or click off.

I hope to encourage you to get a camera and start taking photos of your world. If you you begin to learn just a little bit about the living things on the Earth, you will want to learn More. So, what did you do for your Earth Today? Sit on it? Start to think about doing something for the good of the Earth. We do have to live here, there are no other options!

We will have a brief photostudy today on Hot Flowers in the Summer Gardens of Texas:  Zinnias.  Enjoy!

Zinnia Flower Garden                                 by:  brendasue

These Zinnias were planted from seed last spring. For flowers that love the Hot Texas Heat In August, The Zinnia has to be at the top of the short list.

Colorful Flowers          by:  brendasue

As you can see, these flowers are standing up in 100 degree heat (and I'm not!)

*Photography Tip:  Plan your photoshoots very carefully if you have this type of heat. It is not good for you or the digital cameras for long exposure to this temperature. Protect the cameras and freeze some bottles of water in advance for you.

Hot Colors!     by:  brendasue

Zinnias are known from Southwest America to South America.  Originally from Mexico.

You can find more information about these great cut flowers from the link below:

WORLD NATURE CLASS-2-24-2010-Discover Life On Rainbow Creek by: brendasue

Welcome to the People of Earth!
Come on in to our mini Nature Class where we are exposing ourself to the living things we find on Rainbow Creek. Let us go up to the rooftop deck!

There is Kay Lonnie & Sissy waiting for us.

Let the Class Begin!

Thanks Kay Lonnie, good girl.

New Spring Life Discovered Today at Kates Cabin on Rainbow Creek. Above is a baby cardinal, just starting to turn red. Welcome to our world!

The Peach Tree is really bloomong now! Beautiful pink flowers against a blue sky.

Soon this branch will have a peach where every flower is now.

This tree is called June Gold. He is known for being early.

It is the Texas sun that has kissed all the flowers that make the peaches so sweet!

Good Morning, Big Dad. He is a male cardinal. A cold cardinal fluffing up his feathers to stay warm.

Here is Tufted Titmouse having a snack.

And Big Dad, again, still cold! He started singing early today.

Our photostudy today will be with this pretty poppy. He loves the cold.

And here is the sky above the swing at Kate's. Winter days are leaving soon!

This concludes our class today. Nice short classes where you learn something in a glance!

Goodnight King and Goodnight Kate. Goodnight Everyone, Everywhere!

WORLD NATURE CLASS 02-11-2010 Discover Life On Rainbow Creek by: brendasue

WORLD NATURE CLASS NOW OPEN TO EVERYONE IN THE WORLD! COME EXPLORE LIFE ON RAINBOW CREEK WITH ME. I AM BRENDASUE, YOUR GUIDE.

This is Kay Lonnie Wray, AKA Miss America! Kay, would you give the signal for the Class?

Let the Class Begin! Good girl.

Hi Everybody: Come on down to Rainbow Creek. I want you to pause in this picture for a moment. I want you to remember that when you have troubled times (as all Humans do), bring your mind to a place like rainbow creek here, where it is still and quiet. Allow yourself some time to just be. No matter how bad the Storm of the moment is........it will pass.

Look at this Hummingbird we have here. As it is still terribly cold and raining outside, I have retreated to the warmth of the office and dove into my computer to find you a photostudy of one of my favorite days last summer. We will take a look at these Birds of Summer and feel what it is like just to hang out with them. We had over 200 which allowed me to observe them and feed them on a daily basis. They accepted me as the old lady with the camera and they were not frightened. Enjoy these delightful birds.

What a Great Day. Goodnight King and Goodnight Kate; Goodnight Everyone, Everywhere.
