PhotostudyToday: Butterfly in a Whirlwind by: brendasue

Hi Everyone, Come on In.  Hope you had a good day.

These pretty Pansies are at the end of their bloom and will be fading away from the Hot Summer Heat.

Today I have brought you over to Elaine's Place.  Like the rest of us, she enjoys the flowers and trees, birds & bees!

I am talking to Elaine about joining me online here with a Kates Cabin Kitchen Pantry. Her Garden is beautiful and bountiful.
And, she also is a great Cook!  I get  Fresh Strawberry Pie Today!

Here is the Welcoming Committee!

Let the Quack Class Begin!

Our Photostudy today will be of these Golden Lantana Flowers and Black Swallowtail Butterfly.  Enjoy!

Elaine has a beautiful display of flowers (petunias and pansies among the golden yellow lantana)

So there were so many butterflies in the skies!

This is a female Black Swallowtail Butterfly (I think))

The wind was blowing very hard this day and the butterfly was holding on tight!

If the Answers, my friend, were Blowing in the Wind, they blew by too fast for me to hear what they were!

If anyone noticed I was gone again (in real time), my Internet went off again.
It was not due to lightening this time, it was A T & T switched it off (by mistake).
But They are bigger than a Thunderstorm.
I can offer you some words of Wisdom here:  Never ever discontinue your land line in favor of a cell phone while trying to keep your internet service  as it was. This is beyond the comprehension of the Company at this time.

Anyway, All I started out trying to do in 'Theory' was lower my monthly phone bill. All utility bills here in Texas (and I imagine Everywhere) have jumped very high and the sizzling summer is not quite here yet. The economy is very depressed in this rural area I live in the woods.

In Houston, there are more opportunities, but people are moving to Texas at an alarming rate. This will become one of the largest migration of people in modern day. They are coming from California, Arizona, New Mexico and Old Mexico as the economies where they are living are collapsing. They are coming from the extra cold winter this year up north. This is good news for the housing markets in Texas. But a strain is being put on our medical systems and services to the poor as so many very poor people find their way here.

These Butterflies from Mexico are very Welcome At Rainbow Creek.

Though she looks calm and peaceful in the frame, the wind is really blowing very hard and she is holding on! It is quite a challenge to me to attempt to shoot the butterflies and flowers in the wind.

They seemed to hold on a little longer to the flowers, so once I got them in the cross hairs, I just had to pull the trigger!

She has a long straw-like tongue that sucks up the nectar from the base of the flower.

Anyway quite a few headaches later, my internet indicator lite was blinking red when I went to bed last nite.

This morning when I awoke, it was Green!

I was very relieved it was not something I did wrong!
(Grandmas tend to screw up more than most people.)

I got the birdseed and my coffee and went outside to move the sprinkler I left on overnight.

The water well had quit working and there was no water!

So when Elaine called and said she had made a fresh strawberry pie, I said I am on my way!

And had a Great Day!

Thanks, Elaine
