Autumn Arrives Amidst Spectacular Fanfare In The Sky At Sunset!

Hello Everybody:
Come on in and grab you one of those big, comfortable chairs!
Fall danced into Texas yesterday (officially 9-22-2010). No cool air is here yet, but we did have scattered rain showers in the afternoon.
Every sunset is great, but in my mind the ones that have clouds in the sky are favored.
From a photography point of view, I would like you to take a few moments and think about what components would make a great sunset to You?  I am pretty sure we can all agree that the Sun has to be there for one.
We will get right to our Photostudy of yesterday's sunset which I thought would be very nice.  I had no idea it would be extraordinary! Have a look at the surprises at sunset. Enjoy!

This was the beginning of the sunset with a few rain clouds rolling in.

This sky had every kind of cloud that is made!

Black and white clouds were all over the sky.

The cows were forming a chorus line in front of the sun.

The Little King is making one of his Grand Entances!

Let the Class Begin!

(Thanks, little King)

The golden King behind the golden Hay!

The King and I are on this country road (77 Sunset Strip in Texas).  We are looking north down the road. Sunset is to the left (west) and rain clouds are to the right (east).

A really great Cloud Day!

Dark Clouds are passing over me moving toward the Sun.

This is looking East in the Horse Pasture, Rain clouds are in the distance and above.

The storm clouds are gathering around the Sun.

This is looking South the other way down the road. I call that South House on the left. We can see the clouds moving across the street.

Looking back to the East, we can see the sheets of rain on the right side of the frame.

Here are my friends that live in South House saying Hello!

The sky is turning golden.

And look to the East:   A Rainbow!

WOW--What a Sky!

WOW--what a Rainbow!

This concludes our photostudy for today. We will continue with Part 2 tomorrow.  In addition to all you have seen here, there will be an appearance by the Full Moon and another Rainbow.

I think I am the only one on earth who still watches sunsets. No one else is out here but the cows! (I still think the cows can not see the sunset).

...this is brendasue signing off from Rainbow Creek.
Good night all my friends, sleep well.
