Welcome Everyone:
Today I am going to let the cat out of the bag. For the younger crowd who have no idea what that means: it is an old saying for letting secrets out in the open. In this case, I am the cat so it is okay if I tell. (There are some people who would say I am the bag, the old bag!). Whatever.
This is good news for my friends who are into gardening and/or photography combined with fun. I have found a place where we can enjoy both our passions right here in N.Waller County.
Here is a hint:

Let The Class Begin!
Party! Party! Party!
Photoshoot in the Garden Party!
We have been invited by Linda Wood of Bluebonnet Herb Farm in Hempstead, Texas to come enjoy the grounds and the Secret Garden she just created for a private photoshoot and Sunday Afternoon play days at Bluebonnet.
FOR FREE!
Of course I captured a 'sneak preview' for you!
Walk this way!
Welcome to Bluebonnet Herb Farm in Hempstead, Texas (Waller County)
Okay, we follow this little path across the front of the property all the way to the far end and turn right. There are so many beautiful plants, flowers and butterflies everywhere. (Linda is well known for the beautiful landscapes she creates in Hempstead City and many of the fine ranches in the area).
Now For The Surprise:
Look at this great Garden Gate leading into the Secret Garden.
There is a dry creekbed of river rocks that meanders through the Garden. Little bridges, places to sit, stuff to photograph. Perfect Place now that the Heat is behind us.
The wooden fence created by gifted carpenter Curtis Woolever, adds a private feel to the wonderful space.
Flagstone walkways and patios are connected by foot bridges. (the creek does have running water when it rains).
Big Trees and shade create unique backgrounds for you garden photos. I love it here---totally!
Cool Stuff is just everywhere!
This area is the 'backyard' of the property behind Mary Helen's Garden Cafe.
There are fountains and pottery and Garden Art all over.
Do You like it?
We will announce the Save the Date after we check out other fall festivals in the area. Probably early October, definitely on a Sunday Afternoon so my artist and photographer friends from out of this town can come spend the afternoon in the country!
Linda and I are planning many great things!
Hope You enjoyed the sneak preview of Bluebonnet Herb Farm!
Our Photostudy today is the beautiful butterflies in the Gardens at Bluebonnet. Thank you Linda. We are going to love meeting at your place!
This photoshoot was fun. You will love it.
I will inform you of the details soon. We are planning Adult Only Photoshoots on Sundays as there might be wine or something, maybe snacks. No formal agenda, no club, no officers, no minutes and no dues. Just a group of people that want to get together and share photography and gardening.
So think about Sunday afternoons in Hempstead!
Have a great Holiday Weekend and be careful. I will be back on Tuesday. I have guests coming to Kates cabin to see the Hummingbirds for the rest of the weekend. I will continue the tire story on Tuesday also as I can not even believe what happened today. (oh brother).
...this is brendasue signing off from Rainbow Creek. Goodnight.
