Beep Beep---Let The Class Begin!
Hi Everybody! Look what came out of the woods today! What kind of bird is this?
It just ran across the Road!
He turned on a dime to look at me!
I have never seen this bird in all my 59 years.
Wow! Look at that Tail
Look at those pretty eyes.
Look at the Crest on his Head
Turning Again!
He is making a funny noise!
Look how his markings blend in with the background
What strong legs he has.
What a fine bird!
He is running again!
I cannot believe that blue tail.
Running down the Road, again
He has 2 toes facing forward and 2 toes facing backward.
That bird is really Fast!
He is looking for something.
What a great bird for our photostudy today. How great to see him.
When I got inside I looked up this bird. He is named: Road Runner.
What a beautiful bird.
This concludes our photostudy of the Texas Road Runner! I hope you get to see this bird in your camera.

Brendasue,
ReplyDeleteDown in south Texas we know those birds as Pisano. Those Road Runners ARE really fast! They are really fun to watch out running cars. I've watched them my whole live. I'm glad you got to see one. I didn't know we had them in Hempstead.
Yesterday when I was walking at the park, I saw a doe and a fawn. Apparently they live in the area and are frequent visitors to the park. My dog didn't know what they were!
As always, I love starting my morning with your beautiful blog.
Tootles,
Judith
