Road Trip: Bluebonnet Herb Farms Photostudy November 20, 2010 by: brendasue

A Yellow Rose from Texas just for YOU, my photo friends!
Welcome Everyone and Thanks so Much for all the comments and wishes you are sending my way!

Today I am taking you with me to Bluebonnet Herb Farms in Hempstead, Texas. Passing mid-November now with no freeze, so we will still have flowers and butterflies! Let's Enjoy!

This yellow rose bush greets all who come to Bluebonnet Herb Farms.  There are plenty of Rose Bushes for sale around the grounds, but this Yellow One lives here, he is planted in the Garden in front of the Herb Station.  Roses really get happy with the cooler air of Fall!

This is the table for the annuals for the winter gardens.

These jewels are called Pansy. They will not grow in the Heat of Texas.  Only now, the winter. What a bright spot on a cold and gloomy day!

Look who I found walking around on a flower!   A Bee.

It is his lunchtime and he is drinking nectar.

As he walks around, he drops pieces of pollen sticking to him from other flowers.  This is how flowers get pollinated. A process necessary to produce seeds for future generations.

Our photostudy today is of this Bee. (Haven't found his name yet, please leave a comment if you know).

Look at this answer blowing in the wind!

This one is flying on the wind!  A Monarch Butterfly.

The Monarch says:  Hello Everybody!

They really like this flower!

How lucky we are to see this one so late in November!

A Holiday Special

Merry Christmas!
